Assalamualaikum,
Today i feel very happy. First of all i feel very as my head of department understand why i start to put on hijab.
its been a few months i plan to wear hijab.and today, I decided to start wearing a hijab.
How has the experience been so far? Not bad actually.
In some ways, I feel relieved and unburdened. Because I feel like I’m no longer pretending; the secret’s out—I’m Muslim. No hiding it anymore. I can be who I am.
People start to say that you are too young for hijab? Too cover up? and even tell me that i cant go party at night due to wearing hijab. my simple answer to them is, before i start to put on hijab, i didnt go club,i didnt smoke,i didnt drink. my regret is, i waste my time for showing my sexiness in front of everybody.
I don’t think I’ve really had any negative reactions from others. There was one lady in Target who stared at me for a while—not sure if that was good or bad. But otherwise, I haven’t really noticed a big difference. If people are thinking anything negative of me, they’re at least not saying it out loud (I guess people are much more open to criticizing me when we’re not face to face, such as in response to my blog posts . . .)
I think this is definitely something where it’s a bigger deal to me than everyone else. Most people don’t know that I’ve made a change, so they may not react in any certain way. They are probably used to occasionally seeing covered Muslim women, so no big deal for them I guess. The most awkward interactions for me so far have been with people I have put in the category of: “I know you but don’t know you that well.” These are people who know my face and recognize me when they see me, but don’t know me well enough for me to ‘announce’ my covering to them or explain why.example, the staff in my apartment office, the production worker etc.. .
So far, the biggest effect that wearing hijab has had on my life has actually been on my own behavior—and in a good way. I now feel life like I’m an ambassador for Islam, so to speak. I feel more pressure to be a better person—to be a good example of what a Muslim should be. For example, being kind to others, smiling more, holding the door for someone who needs it, not cutting off people in traffic , and just in general doing ‘good deeds’ and abstaining from ‘bad behavior.’ I don’t want to give anyone a reason to judge Islam. Rather, I want to be a reason for them to rethink Islam.
I believe that the biggest difficulties in wearing hijab are still ahead for me. I have yet to be in the presence of my non-Muslim friends and family. It will be interesting to see how that works out in the future. Anyway, so you’ll have to stay tuned to see how that is all experienced in the future. Until then, I’ll be working on being the best representation of Islam that I can be.
I want to be a good Islam.
Regards,
Hetty

Salam,
Here’s a quote to ponder..
If we can’t get what we like..
Let’s like what we get..
After all, not everybody get what we got..
And what we got, is the fruit of what we work for..
So if we still don’t get what we want..
We gotta work harder to get what we want..
And in the end, leave everything to ALLAH S.W.T (du’a and tawakal)..
Try to applicate this in real life..
Study, working or just anything..
This will turn out to be true..
If it isn’t, then it’s just not the right time for us to get what we want..
Because at a certain time..
Allah won’t give us what we want..
Yet, He will only give us what we really need..
So that we’ll work harder to get what we want from Him..
And never ever forget to be thankful to the Almighty..
It’s not too hard to pronounce ‘Alhamdulillah’..
It just take a moment to be thankful..
And another worthful breath to say it with gr

Be Yourself
Be Yourself
Only once in your life, I truly believe, you find someone who can completely
turn your world around. You tell them things that you’ve never shared with another soul and they absorb everything you say and actually want to hear more. You share hopes for the future,
dreams that will never come true, goals that were never achieved and the many disappointments life has thrown at you. When something wonderful happens, you can’t wait to tell them about it,
knowing they will share in your excitement. They are not embarrassed
to cry with you when you are hurting or laugh with you when you make a
fool of yourself. Never do they hurt your feelings or make you feel like you are
not good enough, but rather they build you up and show you the things about yourself
that make you special and even beautiful. There is never any pressure, jealousy or
competition but only a quiet calmness when they are around. You can be yourself
and not worry about what they will think of you because they love you for who you are.
The things that seem insignificant to most people such as a note, song or walk
become invaluable treasures kept safe in your heart to cherish forever.
Memories of your childhood come back and are so clear and vivid it’s like being
young again. Colours seem brighter and more brilliant. Laughter seems part of daily
life where before it was infrequent or didn’t exist at all. A phone call or two during
the day helps to get you through a long day’s work and always brings a smile to your
face. In their presence, there’s no need for continuous conversation, but you find you’re
quite content in just having them nearby. Things that never interested you before
become fascinating because you know they are important to this person who is
so special to you. You think of this person on every occasion and in everything you do.
Simple things bring them to mind like a pale blue sky, gentle wind or even a storm cloud on the horizon. You open your heart knowing that there’s a chance it may be broken one
day and in opening your heart, you experience a love and joy that you never dreamed possible. You find that being vulnerable is the only way to allow your heart to feel true pleasure that’s so real it scares you. You find strength in knowing you have a true friend and possibly a soul mate who will remain loyal to the end. Life seems completely different, exciting and worthwhile. Your only hope and security is in knowing that they are a part of your life.”

Love Is Blind (Iwan & Hetty)
I see you all the time
Never see you smile
I try to picture what's going on in your mind
He leaves you every night by yourself
He took your love and put it on the shelf
He doesn't really care... how you feel...
You should be moving on girl what's the deal?
I wanna see you out that door... cause girl you know you're worth much more
So baby tell me why you stick around
Always lonely and you only wear a frown
He don't treat you good and you know
The only thing left is for you to go
You shouldn't live a lie with someone
When deep inside you know he ain't the one
I don't know what to say no more
I wanna see you out that door
Ya azizi (my dear) ismaeeni (listen to me)
I really don't wanna see u cry
Mujhko samjo dil pe mata lo (understand me don't take it to heart)
Don't wanna see another tear in your eye
Baby break away
Let him go
I don't know what he's done to you
But I know that it's time to move on
Girl your love is blind
Girl I understand
That you're scared
And you feel that you might never love again
But baby that ain't true
No no no
I know that there is someone there for you
Someone there will see
That you are worth
An undiscovered treasure on this earth
Girl you know you're worth much more
I wanna see you out that door
Ya azizi (my dear) ismaeeni (listen to me)
